  26 November 2007

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Henry and I spent our day eating way too much turkey and pumpkin pie. Well, actually I ate the pumpkin pie... Henry ate the crust. Now, we are back at work, full throttle ahead. We are busy preparing for our February issue. And of course, we are working hard in putting the finishing touches of our first issue of DHM. It's looking fantastic and will sure to be just as collectible as Issue 1 of AM. Be sure to get your copy! Now, I'm off to warm up my leftovers for lunch. Don't worry Henry, I'll share. Have a great week. Kelly and Henry

Please email pictures of your creation to us by October 30th at editor@americanminiaturist.com I've already seen some great entries and can't wait to get more. Henry is preparing himself to be the judge! Have a great week. All my best, Kelly x

Hi Everyone, It's hard to believe but fall is in the air. Last night we had frost warnings and the air has that autumnal brisk chill to it. I'm not ready for our Minnesota winters! Where are those dog days of summer? I just found some pictures of Henry celebrating those hot July days and have posted them to his forum. If you are in need of a smile, you will want to be sure to check them out! And for my smile today, I'm going to start my planning on my next room box project. I'm thinking a music room for this one or maybe a room just for Henry. Hmmmm... that would fun. It's a blank canvas of open possibilities. A perfect project for those cold wintry evenings. Watch this space! Happy mini-ing my friends. Kelly and her hound. x

Hello from a soggy Minnesota. I hope you all are having a wonderful August. Maybe some of you are having your last minute vacations or busy school shopping for the kids. I sound like my mother but where, oh where has our summer gone? It's hard to believe we are preparing the November issue of AM. It promises to full of great ideas to get us all in the mood to eat turkey and decorate our mini homes with autumn colors. Some very special things that you won't want to miss! Have a great weekend!   31 July 2007

It's hard to believe that July is over. I sound like my mother but where did the month go? Henry has spent a lot of time outdoors or lounging around on the office's cool floor. Dog days of summer and all that. I received word today that September's issue will be mailed out the first of next week or so. I can't wait for you all to see it. Check your mailbox in about 10-15 days for this great issue. And don't forget to visit our forum and share your great tips, mini wisdom and happy thoughts! Happy mini-ing, my friends. Kelly x

Summer has certainly arrived here in Minnesota. Upper 80's, sunny and a bit humid. Henry keeps alternating his resting positing from the shade to the sunshine. It's about the only movement we see from him today! So unlike our hummingbirds that have been dive bombing each other at the feeder in the back office yard. What joy these mini's bring us here! Have a great week. Remember to appreciate the little things! All my best, Kelly and the snoozing summer pooch. x

  24 May 2007

It's a rainy Minnesota day. The kind of day that makes me want to curl up with my American Miniaturist magazine and my favorite miniature bull terrier. However, we have too much to do! Our latest issue just left for the printers and we are busy preparing for the next. I can't wait for you to see Issue 51! On a separate note, we had an absolute ball last week. Two of our co-workers from our UK office arrived here for a visit. Our two special guests were Joyce Dean, Doll House World Editor and Claire Carter, Advertising Sales Manager. We spent one day visiting with JoAnne McCracken of Rochester, MN. We were all absolutely amazed at her fantastic houses and room boxes. Be sure to watch the upcoming AM issues for our article about this experience! Henry and I send our best wishes to all of you for a a safe and blessed Memorial Day weekend. Kelly x

Boing ... Spring has sprung! I'm back in the US office, enjoying our Minnesota buds and breezes and busy working with Lori on Issue 51. We have some fantastic things to share with you! And I can't wait for everyone to see this particular issue. My Issue 50 just arrived in my mailbox and am sure if you haven't gotten your copy yet, it will be with you very soon! I encourage all our readers to take a couple of minutes and send us your entries for all the great contests in this special issue. Who knows? Maybe you will be the lucky Issue One winner? Have a great week, okay? Remember to count your blessings and take a moment (or two) to enjoy the blossoms. All my best, Kelly x

I just asked the girls in the UK office what a proper English greeting would be... They said it would be HI! I chuckled and told them that's American! Yes, I've had the fortunate opportunity to enjoy the English springtime this week. And wow, does Lady England really know how to put on a show! She has my attention. Remember the lovely bluebelles I spoke about last issue in my welcome letter? Well, they are out in full force. The site really does take my breath away. And just wait until I show you the fantastic dollhouse I saw this past Sunday. I'm working on the article for Issue 51. So be sure to check out the upcoming issue. Well, have a wonderful week. I'm off to a meeting. Cheers! Your American Kelly xxx

Well, we are just putting the finishing touches on our golden issue. Yes, that's right - Issue 50! I can't wait for our readers to see it. I'm hoping for loads of smiles since, this issue is loaded with great contests, fantastic features and terrific projects. What more could we miniaturists want? Also, I want everyone to know what a joy it's been working with our team of contributors and "in house" AM team members. A huge mini hug to everyone. Without everyone's creativity, expertise and downright grit, we wouldn't be able to celebrate this miniature milestone. Have a great week! Smiles, Kelly x
